For ongoing work, a retainer gives you a set number of hours each month at a better blended rate than paying hourly. Retainers are billed and paid in advance of the work period.

Retainers are always paid before the work period begins. You can choose how that payment is split:

100% of unused retainer hours roll over to the next month, with no expiration, for as long as your retainer stays active.
If you use more hours than your package includes, the extra hours are billed at the matching hourly rate and paid before work continues.
Full refund if canceled within 72 hours and no work has started yet. Once work begins on a billing period, that payment is non-refundable.

Contracts & confidentiality: every engagement starts with a simple Service Agreement and, where relevant, a mutual NDA to protect both sides — covering scope, payment terms, ownership of deliverables, and confidentiality. These are sent for signature once we've agreed on scope, not published publicly, since they're private documents between us.
